(R)ESISTENZE
White pigments are layered on old printed papers, first veiling and then revealing. New images, found in the tangles of white – material that has survived incisions and cuts – take shape: they are the (R)existences. The prefix “r” of (R)existence is a deep and restless mark, which underlines a tension between what appears and what is. The representations are supported on subtle and archetypal elements connected to the deepest essence of the individual. Each (R)existence is characterized by forms apparently devoid of patterns and schemes, full of suggestions, vapors and moods, nuanced iconographies and mythologies, in which the figures open up like milky clouds and cirrus, pointing out an organic and ancestral essence. The (R)existences constitute a statement of freedom, fluid and mobile opposed to any dogma: a spiritual Arcadia or an alchemical Eden, where archaic and religious representations turn into syncretic elements.

Pigmenti bianchi si stratificano su vecchie carte stampate, prima velando e poi rivelando. Nuove immagini, rinvenute nei grovigli di bianco – materia sopravvissuta a incisioni e tagli – prendono forma: sono le (R)esistenze. Il prefisso “r” di (R)esistenze, un marchio profondo e inquieto, sottolinea una tensione fra ciò che appare e ciò che è. Le raffigurazioni si sostengono su elementi sottili e archetipali connessi all’essenza più profonda dell’individuo. Ogni (R)esistenza è connotata da forme apparentemente sprovviste di schemi, pregne di suggestioni, vapori e umori, iconografie e mitologie sfumate, in cui le figure si aprono come nubi lattiginose e cirri, lasciando in evidenza un’essenza organica e ancestrale. Le (R)esistenze costituiscono un enunciato di libertà, opposto a tutto quel che è dogmatico, coatto, solido, immobile; un’Arcadia spirituale o un Eden alchemico, dove le raffigurazioni arcaiche e religiose sono distillate in essenze sincretiche.
